Whimsical Art Deco Dog Andirons - Vintage Cast Iron - Tennessee Chrome Plate Company

SOLD

Offered is an adorable, and very collectible pair of Art Deco era cast iron Dog andirons.

When it comes to just plain fun, these fire dogs win the prize. Perfect for a smaller size fireplace. The legs attach by sliding into the back of the dogs (see pictures).

These were made in the 1920s or 1930s by the Tennessee Chrome Plate Company of Nashville, TN.

In very good condition. The black enamel paint appears to be original, so we don't think these were used in a fire more than a couple times, based on the bubbled paint on the legs. There is some finish wear and some minor rust here and there, but that's the way they are - perfectly sound and usable!

They measure 17"H x about 16"D x 7-3/8"W
