1956 Vintage Campbell's Counter Soup Kitchen - Works
$399.00
Offered is this Vintage, 1956 Campbell’s Soup Double Cup Electric Soup Warmer
These were used in diners and cafeterias, where they offered Campbell's Ready to Eat soup in cans, typically on a rack sitting on top of the warmer.
This is a classic piece of mid-century advertising memorabilia. Designed to heat two cups simultaneously, it features a chrome-finished body with the iconic Campbell’s Soups logo centered on the back panel, flanked by two original rotary heat controls.
Includes the original two removable stainless steel soup cups with reddish/brown Bakelite handles, each bearing original Campbell’s Hot Cup labels. The ribbed drip tray base and streamlined rectangular form reflect practical mid-century industrial design, while the red and chrome color palette makes it an eye-catching countertop display piece.
Originally intended for diner/luncheonette use, but now serves equally well as a collectible advertising display, retro kitchen décor, or conversation piece for a Campbell’s Soup or Americana collection.
Condition:
Shows age-appropriate wear including surface scratches, finish wear. There is some rust and worn paint on the red back section (especially on the front/top), and on the chromed section on front (also some scratches as one might expect). May clean up better with than the gentle wipe down we gave it.
All the Bakelite knobs and handles are in good condition.
Has been plugged in a tested to heat up each cup - took only a couple minutes before it was bubbling
The cups are in good condition.
The original cord is intact and does appear to be in good condition.
Measures: 18-5/8"W x 12"D and 6"H (6-5/8"H with the cups plugged in)
