Antique Victorian Gone with the Wind Oil Lamp – Hunting Scenes

This lovely Victorian “Gone with the Wind” parlor lamp, made by the National Brass & Iron Works company. Features finely decorated glass with detailed hunting scenes on both the globe and matching glass base.

The upper globe depicts a hunter with his dog, seated in a wooded landscape, while the base shows another hunter with dog in the field. Both images are beautifully executed in transfer and hand-finished detail, with warm earthy tones fading into a soft sky blue and golden yellow background.

The lamp is fitted with a Royal font, complete with the Fostoria flame spreader that was with it when acquired. The burner needs a wick. The ornate base and fittings complement the bold, rustic hunting imagery.

Era: Late 19th Century to early 20th Century (c. 1891–1911) - NB&IW had a relatively short run of 20 years, and ceased operations in 1911

Glass: Matching globe and base with hunting motifs

Hardware: Royal kerosene font with Fostoria flame spreader.

Condition: Great antique condition with strong color and crisp imagery. The font appears intact and expected to support burning oil. Needs a proper wick. Chimney is replacement. Once electrified on the bottom half, since there is an existing hole on the bottom of the metal font holder/basket.

Dimensions: 25-1/2" tall, 9" wide

A very nice lamp, equally at home with other Victorian decor, or in a hunting cabin, lodge, or rustic retreat.

** We can passively electrify the font at no additional charge, so it's ready to light upon arrival.
