1930s Lightolier DaRay Torchiere Lamp Shade
SOLD
Offered is this scarce DaRay torchiere lamp shade by the well known maker, Lightolier.
Made during the early to mid 1930s, this is a fine example of the work Lightolier is known for.
The shade fits on only one lamp, as shown in the photos. Will not generically fit any other torchiere lamp
Features the original aluminum reflector, which allows you to have a more indirect lighting experience (see last photo). Remove the reflector to let more light shine through the sides of the shade.
This design was patented in 1930 by Lightolier. The inventor was Jacob H. Blitzer.
Note: The shade holder/socket assembly from the lamp is available, if needed.
Condition:
Lamp shade in overall good condition, with no cracks, but one tiny nick on the top rim (see 2nd to last image), and one on the side rib (see first pic). Also a spot of paint, which we opted to leave for the new owner to remove if desired.
