Offered is this French Black Marble and Bronze Desk Set.

This is a pretty nice set with the large base, footed pen holder. On that sits a pair of inkwells inside of bronze holders. Included are all the pieces one would expect with a desk set of this type, and even the wax seal, which is not so typical.

The bronze inkwell holder on the left has a small spot of green, and the one on the right has more. It was there when we purchased it, so we left it. Inkwell #1 (in the photos) is in good shape with no chips or cracks. Inkwell #2 has a couple chips on the neck, which are covered by the bronze lid.

The letter holder has 3 sections, and is in good condition, with a chip on both back corners (see photos).

The wax seal is in very good condition, with wear to the gilding. The base for the was seal has some surface wear, maybe from the heat of the wax, but it is perfectly usable.

The marble blotter features a wood base, which is loosened by the handle, allowing blotting material to be applied.
