Antique Loetz Glass Carneol Case with DEK I/3 decoration - 14" - c.1888

Offered is a stunning Loetz 'Carneol' Vase with with DEK I/3 Decoration.
Carneol was one of the glasses that Loetz made to appear as stone. It was further decorated in several varities, this one being DEK I/3. This happens to be one of my favorites, with it's Middle Eastern style decoration. The interior is opal glass, as seen on top view.
It measures 14-1/8"H x 6"W (overall), and 2-1/2"W at the top.
No cracks or chips. A few scratches in the gilt decoration, and a few missing little enamel dots, but for being well over 130 years old, it's in great shape.
