Offered is this fabulous Royal Copenhagen bud vase, by Valdemar Engelhardt.

This slender, crystalline glazed bud vase is mounted in bronze, perhaps once silver plated, by the well known French firm of Paul Louchet. Marked on bottom of the metal mounts LOUCHET C LEUA.

The vase is marked on bottom with green stamped DANMARK, and in blue VE for Valdemar Engelhardt, and what appears to be C 230, which dates the vase from 1896-1897.

The vase measures 6-3/4"H x about 2-1/4"W. With mounts, about 3"W. Note the long branch on one side that looks like a handle.

The porcelain is 100% damage free. The mounts have a couple of minor losses of leaves, but nothing I'd consider significant. Looks to have originally been silver plated, as the base shows some silver left.
